Learning the very basics of life at a very young age on a small dairy farm. He witnessed life through young animals and crops that he grew and harvested seasonally.
He then realized that life is short and can be enjoyed and appreciated even on the smallest scale. “For me, life was very difficult to understand when you had loss of life and misfortune.”
He then equated the same type of struggles as an alcoholic seeing the loss of fellow people who were struggling with their own vices. Through all journeys, there is a beginning and an end; in between are the lessons and wisdom obtained.
